According to Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, the government is thinking about creating a new legal framework to address new cybersecurity threats brought on by artificial intelligence (AI).
Speaking at the India AI Summit in New Delhi during the launch of the AI & Cyber Threat Research Center set up by Bharti Airtel and Zscaler, he warned that AI will fundamentally transform the nature of cyber threats.
As India’s digital ecosystem grows, the minister urged telecom and IT firms to bolster defenses.
Technology leaders at the summit also underlined the necessity of strong protections and worldwide AI governance to control the risks posed by autonomous systems and guarantee the safer use of cutting-edge technologies.
